Put the parent row physically above its children in the same file and upload them together.

Copy-paste the parent SKU into the children rather than retyping it.

On the parent row set parent_child = parent, leave parent_sku blank, and leave price, quantity and external_product_id blank.

On each child row set parent_child = child, parent_sku = the parent's SKU, relationship_type = variation.

If the parent already exists live, confirm it is still active - a suppressed parent orphan-ends its children.
